You probably don't go on tumblr. That is the new face of fandom where people call everything problematic and try to shame people for the things they enjoy and the way they enjoy them.

Or maybe your in a very small fandoms. I have been in several different fandoms of various sizes, some are worst than others but there is always some degree of drama. I though my current fandom was spared because it's just a cute and funny series that doesn't seem like it would attract any wank, but not even that is safe.

If your not seeing anything then you're either not that involved with fandom or you live under a rock. Sorry, but this shit is going on whether you acknowledge it or not.

I have tumblr and I'm into a lot of the fandoms with a lot of wank like SU and Homestuck, but mostly I stick to fanfics and reblogging art (or drawing it). I tend to stay out of fandom specific tags and just look for stuff relating to characters and pairings I like. Perhaps that's part of why I've been missing it. =?
