(Anonymous) 2015-04-13 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)I'm a fat...ish woman, and rewatching TLM as an adult, Ursula made a big impact on me. It was kind of... empowering... seeing this fat lady be so confident and striking and unashamed and PRESENT with her asppearance. Villain or not, Ursula looks darn impressive. Seeing that definitely played into my process of ceasing to view the deviations-from-the-standard in my appearance as flaws, and beginning to see myself as an interesting character design.

And I mean Ursula is a dickbag (comes with the territory, being a villain and all), but she has some really cool traits and her confidence should be inspiring. :)
