Fandom Discussions Question

So I created a Livejournal community for the Star Wars animated shows because I'm super loving Rebels and want to talk about it. And all I've found on tumblr is caps, not any discussions or fanworks.

But then I looked for places to advertise and realized that most of the Star Wars livejournal communities haven't been posted in for a year or more. So are there places to advertise livejournal stuff? Or are there better places to start communities/discussions? Is Dreamwidth more active? I just don't know.

Dreamwidth is more stable, imo. Use Tumblr to advertise.

You can still advertise in the old star wars communities, even if they haven't been active lately - there are probably still people watching them and they'll see the entries on their feed. It's really not weird or uncommon at all to post new stuff to communities that have been inactive for a while!

I know there's a "Fandom on DW" comm where people advertise new things, there's likely to be something similar on LJ.

I'm going to second/third doing the comm on dreamwidth since lj is not as user-friendly as it used to be. It's really hard to access the site, let alone doing basic lj functions.

As for advertisement tumblr would be a good place. Word spreads there pretty fast.
