My aunt died

Of cancer. It was breast cancer, and it spread all the way to her liver.

She knew there was a lump in her breast for over a year, according to one of her friends. The friend told her to get it looked at. Her boyfriend told her to get it looked at. She said she'd wait for Obamacare (she didn't have insurance). She was very stubborn. By the time she got it checked out, it was too late. She died today. She was only in her 50s.

I'm so sorry, anon.

My family's actually going through something similar right now with my uncle, who's in hospice at the moment. Except he has throat cancer, and he actually did go to the doctor to get it checked out when he started having pain. Several times. The doctors just kept telling him it was nothing to worry about it.

I lost my mother to cancer and stubbornness in 2010.

Get regular checkups, F!Sers. There are people who will miss you.

That's awful. I'm sorry. My mom has breast cancer, and now liver cancer. At least, if she's lucky, it's liver cancer, and not metastasized breast cancer, or non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, which she just finished treating last year. Fuck cancer.
