That sounds like a really fucking horrible reason to get married. Because change is really hard, and now you've set up an expectation that could get dashed. Now if they dont' change OP may start to resent it in a way that could become toxic.

I was really confused for a while then realized it was my own mistake. What I meant to type was "give some serious thought about NOT marrying this guy". Sorry about that.

Yeah that really changed the entire tone of the statement. :P
