I read RPF smut when I've exhausted the non-explicit fic, just to get more of the character dynamics. But I don't like to picture exactly what's written. I hide the...action with "camera angles".

I've actually tried doing RPF, but I'm still not sure how I feel about playing as one of the characters. Like, certain things seem to be hitting harder to home than in reading fic; Haven't done smut yet, but yeah;

Years ago, I used to draw pictures of my "OCs" who were totally-not-based-on-real-people, and even though I had drawn explicit porn before, when I included them in it I couldn't bring myself to make it really graphic so I used angles and positions where you couldn't see anything explicit. I just couldn't bring myself to go any farther than that when it came to characters modeled after real people, and it made me really uncomfortable when I saw drawn RPF porn by other people that was more graphic than that. Looking back, it probably made me a hypocrite because I was still putting them in sexual situations, but oh well.
