How are you defining one of his best?

In the top 20 or 25? Okay, I guess. I find his books really uneven, in the sense, that I find some of them very engaging, but others I'll have little to no interest in at all. Maybe you don't care enough about any of the characters. If I can't connect well with at least one character, I don't much feel the need to keep reading.
