I was crying on and off suddenly and uncontrollably the day my cat died, and I'm not ashamed to admit it either.

Animals are tiny beings with emotions and personalities that we choose to care for and let into our lives, much like friends or family. ...It would speak less of you if you didn't care that a friend died, I think.

We just got back from the emergency vet. He worsened during the night, barely breathing, unable to sense most anything. We had to have him put to sleep. :(

Thank you. This is a bad month for pets; my ex and I lost a foster-to-adopt kitty, at the very end of last month. 2015 can fuck the hell right off.
