Why do it anyways? Even if you do nothing with that information it's still pretty creepy. Chances are the person your tracking does not trust you and would not feel comfortable knowing someone is tracking them and even thinking about linking their fandom activities with their real life accounts. It's none of their business what someone does as a hobby in fandom.

There are enough creeps out there who would do harm as it is. This, "I could do it, I just don't" is still a threat and pretty low thing to do. If you have this kind of hobby why don't you track racists, misogynists, or other hate groups instead of fanfic writers, of all people.
