Hell, there are even entire genres of porn dedicated to the scent of a man or woman's armpits, so there are even social examples that this particular part of our biology still plays a role in our sexual behaviour.

As far as social behaviour goes though, we don't greet new people by sticking our faces in their armpits. Or have I been doing it wrong?
It somehow doesn't surprise me that there's porn of that.

It's pretty damn strong, and as it turns out, the compounds that you don't consciously "smell" have an even greater range than the body odour that is caused by our personal armpit biome. Some studies have suggested that under the right circumstances it can have an area of effect of 5-8 feet, which might explain the instances of walking into a room and immediately being drawn to a certain person.
