but OP is cognizant of the fact that they might have this reaction out of bitterness because they are single and queer and thus het romances don't represent them. They never talk about bad het romances or them disliking how they are written, they are saying that just seeing the two characters kiss makes them have an adverse reaction.

whatever the het romances OP is watching are written badly or not is beside the point and we can't make hasty generations about all het romances anyway.

Even if it were entirely about that (still not ruling out the 'poor quality' factor), I think that is a perfectly legitimate reaction, because well-written or not, het romance is everywhere and in everything.

And is it really derailing the thread if other people chime in with their reasons for being sick of het? Reasons that the OP in no way needs to agree with? That's just expanding the topic of discussion for the rest of us who don't feel the bitterness but still relate with with the lack of tolerance.
