With your fandom talk?

i only bring it up with other nerds and only really discuss the source material, so i don't think so

Sometimes. I try not to talk about it too much outside of fannish circles, though.

Maybe a bit on my LJ, since I have a few friends I know have moved on from fandom, or were never in it to begin with. But I cut and tag my posts, they don't have to read them.

I think I make my family and friends are ready to cut off their own ears if I keep talking about fandom stuff, but they love me enough to put up with it most of the time.

I feel like I bring up the same topics and fandoms here on FS that no one else cares about and I'm starting to come off as annoying.

No, because I am afraid of annoying people (and also, I know that no one cares about it that I know IRL), so I don't talk about it.

I keep my fandom interest to myself. No one knows what I like and I make sure to hide it. It annoyed my family when I was a kid and my sister used to ridicule me so now I just don't talk about it at all besides anonymously on online communities.

Yeah, especially regarding my favorite character and OTP of OTPs.

It is why I don't mention or talk about them much anywhere tbh, especially here. I can get pretty excited and devolve into gushing over them. Plus, they're both from a dying fandom, involve a not so popular character, which makes me bit apprehensive to talk about them.

Yeah but idc because someday I hope to attract people to talk about my fandoms with.

No, because I know who I can talk about it with and who not to.

Yeah. Then again, I don't even bother talking about fandom-y things with other people, offline, anyways. Half because I don't like explaining stuff and half because I just don't think it's important enough to have conversations with other people in person.

I also do get the impression I sometimes annoy my online friends with my interests... and admittedly, when I really get into something, I tend to find all the things I can and reblog/tweet about them every so often. I dunno. At that point, I just tag stuff and hope they're using Blacklist/Tumblr Savior if it annoys them that much. :T

When I first read the title I went, "Constantly", but after reading the message part...

As for f!s? I post enough that someone has to hate me (and frankly I do tend to get into moods and talk about certain fandoms to death before moving on to something else), but IRL I would mostly say no because I know who is interested in what and try not to overdo it.

Mmmhh I used to feel this way, but then tumblr happened and it made me appreciate conversations with people a lot more.
