How does friending on twitter work? I think I might be missing something, because basically nobody's added me back, including people I think would. I also have no idea how to find friends, because a lot of people use usernames (which I actually like), and the email friend finder only turns up so many people.

There's a big problem with spam followers on twitter, so a lot of people won't follow you back immediately, they'll see if you interact with them (sometimes just by RTing) first, so they know you're not just a bot.

AYRT - I wasn't very clear... I'm friending people I actually know, not just, you know, random people on LJ. Like, I friended my sister-in-law, and we discussed the fact that I friended her. So...

What are you tweeting? There are people twitter I know, but don't follow just because they tweet endlessly about things I don't care about.
