I'm fairly popular in my fandom and a few of us (with very successful fics or a lot of Tumblr followers or both) do have a private Twitter chat going! It isn't really what I imagine the BNF cliques of yore were like, but sometimes we do commiserate about how entitled some people can be or get petty about other big names in the fandom, if that's what you're looking to hear. :)
