Another way of saying a slash shipper. Someone who "slashes" dudes. I picked it up from a friend of mine who's much more a hetshipper.

Maybe it was "dudeshipper"? I dunno.

Dudeshipper is ok, but dudeslasher is a stupid term. Slasher = slashing male chatracters, dudeslasher is redundant.

There are a surprising number of people who use slash to refer to any same-gender ship, not just male/male ships. In light of that, some people find it helpful to specify when they're using 'slash' in the original sense of the word, hence dudeslash/dudeslasher.

I've also seen it used as a way of protesting the fact that men are seen as the default, but that's rarer.

slash no longer looks like a real word to me thanks to reading this comment thread
