I love the FF series and I'm going to see the new one on Friday. I wish I would've not been so opposed to them previously as I've only enjoyed their awesomeness since last year. (I did a marathon one weekend.)

I'm enjoying things I once scoffed at and it feels so good to let go of the unfounded hate, ya know?

That's just the thing right. Despite the gratuitous fan service there's nothing inherently bad or misogynist about the movies (except maybe the dialogue lol).

Hell, if anything over the years it's been joked that there's more homoerotic tension in those movies than anything else and that the T&A is only there to cover it up.

The truth is those films are responsible for employing more female stunt people/drivers than any other franchise and casting the likes of Gina Carano and Ronda Rousey at a time when even freaking Wonder Woman is still scared of making a realistic warrior woman character and other films prefer to stick to the usual slap fights rather than showcase true fighters.
