Kagura was my favorite character in Inuyasha and the main reason I kept reading past its decline.

I was killing time reading fanfiction while I waited for the translation for that manga chapter to go up in a few more hours (the previous one having ended with her mortally wounded), and then this idiot goes all "RIP KAGURA ;_;" in an author's note right before the fanfic's chapter starts.

You fucking asshole. I wish I hadn't been such a coward back then and told you EXACTLY how angry I was. I could not properly enjoy what was a genuinely sad and emotional moment in my favorite manga during a very bad time of my life because you did not understand what a fucking spoiler is.

I kind of wish I still remembered your penname just to go yell at you about this.

Secret Because: I've had my idiot fan moments too and chances are they didn't mean bad, just wanted to share in a fan moment. It would be petty to yell at someone for a mistake and possibly make someone who was already vulnerable, like I was, feel bullied and hated. :(

tl;dr: I had my favorite character's death spoiled in a fanfic. It pissed me off.

Man that sucks, OP. I understand how that feels though.

This is part of the reason why I hate being part of a fandom with an ongoing series. It's like you have to keep up to date with stuff the second a new chapter comes out for fear of being spoiled.

Wow, that was a dickish move by the translator, wtf! How can people be so spectacularly ignorant and inconsiderate? That's like a writer giving one of their chapters the title of "Btw, This and This Character Kicks The Bucket In This One LOL". It makes no sense.

Ugh. I feel you, I really do. :/
