For the sheltered part, you're not that far wrong. I grew up a little bit protected due to being the youngest child, and even my long-time maid/family friend (it's complicated) doted on me since birth, and that caused huge troubles when I grew up went through school.

Coming from a completely different culture, I take most blame for being frustratingly naive on things. I'm still trying, and I'm still learning.

That's fair. It could also be that there's also an element of class at play? Like... my sense is kind of that you're more or less from an upper-class background (in terms of class, not in terms of money), as far as that goes, and I think that has its effects as well.

It's hardly a mortal sin, anyway. But the meme is intended to be for unadorned statements of opinions, so.
