Oh inspired by anon below, I did want to say that Marvel is clearly better than DC in all ways

(But even if you're wrong on that issue, you seem to be okay with banter on the topic, so it's all good)

Nah, nah, Marvel likes simpler stories (not that there's anything wrong with that, just saying) and their character drama is mostly a lot of heroes punching each other while screaming JEAN! JEAN! a lot :D

DC's not immune to that (run-up to Infinite Crisis, anyone?) but I feel like they have a greater breadth of stories that play to their characters' strengths more. And they don't have Spiderman or Joe Quesada.

They do have Dan Didio, though. :(

I do like that Marvel has been diversifying its art styles for quite some time. DC's only recently gotten into the "more than 3 of our comics aren't drawn in 'house style'" game in the last couple years.

You can be very abrasive and sometimes you come off as a jerk, but I don't understand why you're such a frequent target of trolls. Honestly, the sheer dedication of fedora!anon baffles me.

Your opinion of Marvel is also baffling to me. I get the impression you haven't actually read a lot of recent Marvel comics and that your dislike of the company is based on its output from a decade ago, which doesn't really reflect what Marvel is like now.

Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for introducing me to Mystery Skulls. They're great.

I will always, always, always contend that DC does comics better than Marvel, it's just that Marvel does a better job of not fucking alienating everyone. Also, their film franchise has been very successful because they kept the comic book sense of fun while stripping away the unnecessary bits, unlike everything David Goyer writes because Goyer is an asshole who hates comic books and the people who read them.

I do like some of what Marvel is doing nowadays, comics-wise. And I'll never not like SpiderGwen's costume -- but let's be real, it's basically Spoiler with a Spider theme. The hood, the purple, the blonde heroine...

I think you have a lot of issues with anger and that it affects how you post sometimes.
