This is something I know about myself, and I'm constantly working on it. I like to think I've gotten better about it over the years.

Yeah, I know I can. I've been working on it.

The sad thing is more than half the time I don't mean it, I just have a terrible habit of immediately going academic mode whenever I'm arguing/discussing a point. IRL it's not so bad, but online it doesn't translate.

Which is on me, of course, hence trying to work on being more sensitive about communicating effectively through text.
