Cheapest place....

To buy international (non-American) candy? I really want to try some non-America candy, especially Japanese kitkats. Where do you buy your international candy?

Ebay. You just have to be judicious in your searching.

Do you have any international grocery stores near you? World Cost Market is nationwide and has some interesting international foods. Jungle Jim's is in Cincinnati, OH. In Indianapolis there is a grocery store called Saraga.

I buy mine at World Market for the green tea kit kats and my German chocolates. I usually just go to the local Chinese grocery store or if I'm feeling adventurous, I'll drive all the way to the Japanese food market or the Korean one.

World Market is the best if I want candy from all over (Kinder and Milka chocolates are so yummy) but if I just want Asian sweets, I'll go to the Asian grocery stores.

Best place is to look for a local source, especially Asian or international markets.

Asian market? Unless you live in a small town, there's a good chance you might have one somewhere. I don't live in a big city, rather a medium or large size town (with a tiny number of immigrant proportionally), and we have one.

Sometimes international restaurants will also have a small "store" area where they sell imported stuff. I know one of our Indian restaurants does, they have a tiny area to buy random Indian foods.

If you live in or near a big city though chances are you have markets dedicated to international foods, or specific shops generally for immigrants that sell imports from whatever country.

sa

otherwise like, an anime convention? lol I haven't gone in years but I know I tried loads of various candies from Japan there.

I don't think anywhere is going to be CHEAP though, imports especially at specialized shops tend to be kind of expensive.

1) the nearest Japanese food store, which lies in this one far-ish mall I knew all my life from going there

2) The giant candy store at the Petronas Towers, which I can only go during holidays because the Metro isn't crowded (I don't know the roads to the capital) and I have little to no Uni work.

I'm not sure if they still do but some dvd stores that sell anime merchandise used to, like Suncoast (RIP) and I saw some Japanese candies at FYE not to long ago. I've also occasionally see private comic book places occasionally have them. Maybe try smaller places like that?

if you have japanese markets around you that would be easiest, google if you have a Mitsuwa in your neighborhood

If you absolutely have to use online, check rakuten. If all you're wanting is matcha kitkat, you'll prolly be okay checking out the local Asian groceries. Maybe even a candy shoppe that sells all kinds of import candy.

Jp kitkats are mostly sooooo good though. Roasted tea and the butter rum ones are my faves.
