Re: Silly things and/or ways you protest

I try avoiding anything to do with Chick-Fil-A now, which isn't stupid on its own, but I know it's a franchise and for all I know the Chick Fil-A in town is run by a gay couple. I'm sure I would've heard if that were true, but my point is I know it's not really fair. So I'm actually trying to come around on that one.

Nothing wrong with avoiding CFA. Their chicken is fucking terrible anyway. And overpriced.

Well, but it's not their fault their corporate head is an idiot. I'm sure many agree, but not all do.

It doesn't matter what they agree on or not. What matters is that the company itself has made a stand on a political issue and come out morally wanting in their opposition to equality. When you buy a sandwich, you are affirming and reinforcing that stance and putting money into their corporate head's pocket.

Add to this their shady business practices (and, again, terrible food) and there really is no reason whatsoever to give them your money.

nayrt but, this.

I know on one hand private views can be private, but when you have someone actively taking and supporting various causes, do you really want to give them money? And the fact that the company continuously maintains its religious affiliation is not a CEO thing, it's a company thing.

I love their food, or at least used to. They were my favorite fast food. Haven't touched them since I heard about their douchery, though.
