"Johnston's croaked it" she said as she served me my English Breakfast. "And the Doctor's been out shooting poachers again" she added, with a reproving look.

"Mrs Fawcett!" I hissed when the good landlady arrived at the door, gesturing toward the foot of the bed from beneath the covers, where I still hid from Dawn's horribly forward fingers. "She got in again! You promised me that something would be done about this!"

Mrs Fawcett cowered as she lay the tray on the end table.

"I'm sorry Master," she said, licking her lips with a tremble, "but the magics aren't holding. The Friar says we need more cats. But who wears cats, nowadays?"

I pulled a banana peel out of the pocket of my nightgown and threw it on the floor angrily.

"Cats?!" I shrieked at the top of my voice. "I've told him time and time again, we don't need cats, we need DONKEYS!"
