I hate these because they can be so hard to close on a touch screen. I swear that on some of them, the little X box doesn't even do anything, just opens the advertiser's website like any other part of the image. I try to remember that the advertising revenue doesn't go to the advertiser, though, so if I like the site I will just bear the burden of closing tge new tab tat tries to open. (I find tgat refreshing the page or clicking back then forward again can sometimes make the ad go away.)
