Did you read the rest of my comment or only one line? Yes, some people shave every day. But not everyone. It's a choice - it matters that much to some people, not others.

Your comment made it sound as if most people are similar to you and only a handful of freaks need to spend more than sixty seconds once a week removing their armpit hair.

And please don't put words into my mouth.

I worded that comment badly; it sounded very flippant towards people who choose to spend more time shaving and I shouldn't have said it like that. That said, I in no way called anyone a freak or anything of a similar nature. I also thought I was pretty clear in that I think many people spend different amounts of time shaving. I was going for a facetious tone overall but also offering my experience as a counterpoint to the blanket assertion that it takes five minutes a day to shave.

I don't think it's fair to characterize it as a choice when it's required by so many jobs. I don't think saying "well you have a choice you could refuse to shave and get fired and become homeless if you really didn't want to shave" is really what people are thinking of when they say someone has a choice.

(also, how many jobs actually require men to shave? I'm legit curious here, I can think of several that do and several that don't. my current job doesn't, as far as I know.)
