That's absolutely true, but a lot of people out there don't see it that way. There's sadly people who would assume you're an illiterate fanbrat just because of what you ship/love whether you act like one or not.

Fair enough.
For me at least, it's never been so much that it makes me feel dumb but it does get incredibly frustrating when people act that way. That could just be me though? It seems silly that people really let fandom make them feel guilty or inferior for liking what they like.

Well, of course there's always fans who don't write like that and are quite intelligent but STILL think you're just a 'yaoi fangirl!1' if you like the popular boy/boy ship.

But hey, I still insist that 'showing you're not dumb' should work.
