I was waiting for someone to come with the "not what nature intended" argument. Do you feel the same way about men who perform the act? *sigh* The OP got hurt because she 1) had anal with someone who obviously had never performed it before and learned how to do it from pornos where the guy just shoves it in and b) was silly enough to do something like that for the sake of her writing when it's not even necessary.

So is oral sex "not what nature intended," too? It's not procreative, which is what the "what nature intended" argument usually boils down to. How about masturbation?

There's a lot of stuff humans do that isn't "what nature intended." Taking antibiotics instead of dying from bacterial infections isn't "what nature intended." Eating industrial foodstuffs full of refined sugars isn't "what nature intended." Heart bypass surgery? Boob implants? Artificial hips? Epidurals during labor? In-vitro fertilization? Fertility drugs? Birth control? Blood transfusions? Not at all "what nature intended."

By comparison to all of those things, allowing someone to insert a (well-lubricated) penis or dildo into your (willing and well-prepared) asshole seems pretty damned natural.

Even if the OP's BF tried to be careful, firstime!anal is often awkward and painful. Then again, so is firstime!vaginal sex for most women--does that make it "what nature intended?" No, I didn't think so...

Huh? The response I made to that person's secret was not an argument, as if this was some kind of debate. I was simply commenting out of sadness for what she didn't have to go through.

Really, if you do it right, anal sex really doesn't hurt. The need for preparation differs between people (from minutes to weeks, from what I've seen), but the same is true for vaginal sex, which also can be extremely painful if you do it wrong.

(I'm not the anon above BTW.)
