I... am straining to remember the ending of IM3.

AoU does directly carry over from Avengers, though, in terms of Tony freaking the fuck out about space and aliens and everyone dying.

Tony/Pepper is still A-OK in canon! Your ship is safe. :)

Im3 ended with tony destroying all his suits? And may or may not broken up with pepper? Idk I found the final ending very unclear. I'll probably never know - looks like there's many more movies going to happen and I'll prob fall behind and then just...stop...watching.

It's more like a direct connection to The Avengers.
