Is Nat/Bruce canon or heading in a canon direction now? That's ... Huh. Interesting. Not a ship I paid much attention to previously (Nat/Steve and Bruce/Betty, occasionally Bruce/Tony(/Pepper), were more my poisons of choice), but that's an interesting direction to go in.

Tricky, though. They have a lot in common, with the whole 'deceptively harmless people with monsters under their skin and blood on their hands' thing, and the lack of trust they both have, but part of that is the problem. Avengers didn't really leave them in the best place, between his longstanding and apparently rather justified distrust in institutions she's worked for, and the small fact that his fear and lack of trust damn near killed her on the Helicarrier. What little I've seen of trailers for the new movie implies it's addressing that, I just ... wonder if they do it well. Not the easiest thing to work through in the middle of an action movie.

If they are doing it well, though, I could be on board for that. They could be very, very good for each other.

Man, I really like Bruce/Betty in Incredible Hulk, but since they recast Banner it just doesn't feel the same. The canonicity of that entire film is in limbo. Given that, I'm actually excited for Bruce/Nat. Ruffalo and Johansson had chemistry in Avengers.

Thank you! Someone else who notices that it's not 100% completely out of left field. They had chemistry, and shared two rather impressive scenes together.

They totally did. Of course, I suspect Ruffalo has chemistry with just about everything and everyone, but anyway. It's not out of the clear blue.
