Ah, but not being able to feel empathy is hardly a choice, isn't it? If someone is born without the ability to feel compassion, or the ability to understand WHY something is right or wrong and commits deplorable actions because of this, would they (or should they) be considered "more evil" or less evil"?

But people who can't feel empathy are still able to understand right and wrong, most of them just don't care.

I think a complete inability to tell right from wrong probably isn't evil, because there's no opportunity for them to make a choice.

I'm pretty sure the inability to tell right from wrong is actually classified as insanity, since it's essentially the inability to comprehend the consequences of one's actions on a fundamental level.

So yeah, not evil in the sense of actively choosing something you know to be wrong, just pretty fucking scary.

To me, evil is about the choices you make. I'd call someone who is incapable of feeling empathy broken, messed up, scary, or even bad, but not necessarily evil, or at least not evil on the same level of people who are capable of feeling empathy, but choose not to.
