Re: Accomplishments!
I have no idea why they wouldn't be real quotes but I've seen some weeeiiiird writing choices going through academia so I always ask about these things now.
Re: Accomplishments!
Talking about quotes, I really, really want to use a Doctor Who quote for my sources, the one about books, the greatest weapon in the world, I do study film/tv so it is in the correct ballpark, but on the other hand it isn't really the most professional thing on earth. I also had to talk myself out of using this: I wanted a perfect ending. Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle and end. as my quote for the conclusion chapter thing, because I have a very, very strong suspicion that my conclusion will not be all that great.
Nah, academic writing is my Superpower, I know what I am doing. But I know what you mean, it is interesting how many weird stuff people manage to do even when they are told how to do it correctly. I keep teaching people in my class how to name their exams when they are handed in electronically, and we have been doing this for 3 years now, there is a link on every damn subjects page to the exam info page and still people don't know it.
