Good lord, a Doc Martin secret. I don't know what to say, well I do know what to say. They never should have killed Joan off, and frankly that car crash Louisa was in ought to have been a fatal one. That was a non-survivable injury, how was she up and walking (albeit with a brain bleed) a few days later? Also, Martin is lovable and Louisa ought to give the big idiot a break. She knew what she was getting into in that relationship.

I don't know the show, but I am a nurse, and you would be astonished at what people survive. And what they don't.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-24 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
that man's face is so absolutely hideous that it's outright revolting

(Anonymous) 2015-04-24 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahh, Ugly!Anon, punctual as always...

(Anonymous) 2015-04-25 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
idk, for once Ugly!Anon kinda has a point

he resembles a frog

(Anonymous) 2015-04-25 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not ugly anon

(Anonymous) 2015-04-25 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
You're anon, and you're ugly inside, so same difference.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-25 08:00 am (UTC)(link)
thinking a hideous man is hideous makes me a discerning person with working eyes, sis.

I liked this series more before it became the Martin and Louisa soap opera, tbh.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-24 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
At least it distracts from the cartoonish Penhale crap. I liked when he was a loveable goof, not when he became a medical moron.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-25 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
So that is the first five minutes of episode one then? It has always been the Martin/Lousia soap.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-25 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but it gets a LOT more Martin/Louisa as you go on...

(Anonymous) 2015-04-25 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
Since it is the central concept of the show, yes it would do that.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-25 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
Whoa, okay, you seem a little combative about this, I'm sorry if I've knocked your OTP or something. It didn't start off as the central concept, though. The premise is clearly the whole fish out of water aspect of a city doctor in a Cornish seaside town, and the romance was one aspect of that that developed over time.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-25 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
nayrt but

i have no commitment to this either way, and i've only seen the first episode of the show

but from having the first episode of the show, i can confirm that the romance is A Thing there

(Anonymous) 2015-04-25 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
Hahaha "show my parents watch." My mom LOVES that show.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-25 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
How does she feel about New Tricks?

(Anonymous) 2015-04-25 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
So do mine! They also like Midsomer Murders.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-26 09:46 am (UTC)(link)
Every single time I see this title I always read "Misnomer Murders". Also, I totally have to give this a watch. It's a Netflix and keeps staring at me since I've watched Doc Martain.

You and the two anons who replied to you just listed three of my parents' favorite shows.

I am not parent aged at all, but LOVE Doc Martin and Midsomer Murders (the new!Barnaby episodes, anyway). Perhaps I should try New Tricks.

Also, oh god why do I like old people shows this is depressing.

Text: I find her so stunningly pretty that every time I see her onscreen i just want to yell at her to DTMF and escape already, so she can marry someone who’s super hot and not a pompous, emotionally barren robot.

S!B it’s Doc Martin, FFS. Why bother having Opinions about a show my parents watch??
