AYRT - YMMV as well. I knew someone who was scandalized by a slash fanfic they found once; while the pairing was indeed squicky, I was so used to it my reaction was basically "meh." But this person had never even heard of fanfic before. I mean, most of us have so it's not quite the same thing, but everyone's fandom/internet experience is different.

Or maybe you're just not one who is easily horrified? That happens, too. I'm weird in that horrible death scenes don't really bother me until things get emotional. Someone loses their head? Oops. Someone says they found the dead headless person's tissue? The waterworks come on.
