I actually imagine being a student at Xavier's...I had a sort of atypical school history, and imagining that makes me feel oddly safe (even though it would be realistically more dangerous).

I did that with the school from Katawa Shoujo. Let me tell you, weird feeling realizing you wish you'd had access to a school in a freakin' game made by 4chan.

I LOVED First Class fandom but it isn't my favorite. (That will always and forever be LOTR.)

However, as far as big fandoms go, it was one of the better experiences I've had. Sometimes I miss it too.

That said, if I was going to daydream about something X-Men, I would spend my time imagining what it would be like to go to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. (But hey, whatever makes you happy? I occasionally look back on my LOTR fandom days with longing, so I can't fault you for doing something similar.)

I've recently gotten burnt out on all my attempted fandoms, and I was just thinking about how much I miss XMFC fandom. I wasn't even in the larger fandom, my pairing was so small, but...it was amazing.
