I believe there's no God or afterlife. In that sense I identify as an atheist. I don't think either thing is provable, though.

In my experience, most atheists (apart from hardcore Dawkinsians - and even Dawkins said multiple times that he does not claim to prove that there is 100% no God) would agree, though.

Oh, yeah, that's been my experience too. Just trying to be as clear as possible. If anything, more trying to be explicit about being an atheist rather than an agnostic, not disagreeing with other atheists.

E: Also, I tend to think of the unprovability as being important in the sense that it's one of the things that leads me to disagree with the more Dawkinsonian forms of atheism.

Double E: Actually, thinking about it more, I'm probably thinking less about whether it can be proven, and more trying to say that I think both belief and unbelief are reasonable positions.

Sorry for being all over the place and able to get my point across, lazy Sunday I guess.
