He punched Piers Morgan a few years ago.

And loads of people go through divorces and health problems and don't punch their coworkers because there wasn't any steak.

Within the last year or so, Piers and Jeremy have kissed and made up (oh, fuck why'd I say THAT, brain bleach, please). Clarkson's daughter posted a pic of the two of them drinking together on twitter...iirc she said something along the lines of "there's been a disturbance in the force".

In a segment on Mock the Week, called "things you wouldn't here on a survival show", Ed Byrne (Irish comedian) said the following: "We dropped Piers Morgan and Jeremy Clarkson into a remote area of the Amazon rainforest, with no supplies and no means of contacting the outside world. You’re welcome."

Isn't Piers out a real job too? They could so totally do this....

I can't stand Clarkson, but punching Piers Morgan is the very best thing he's ever achieved.
