Yeeeah, apparently Konami and Kojima are on the outs! Kojima Productions may fold after MGS V's release.

But really no one should be surprised, because Guillermo del Toro was attached, and 95% of the things he's attached to wind up not happening. He is a canary in a coal mine.

I did hear that Kojima said this was the last Metal Gear game he was going to do (lmao, like you haven't said this every game for like the last three games in the series) but I didn't take that seriously. (If it actually is? Well, he's had a good run and I'll appreciate the games we already have. Everything has to end eventually, though I do hear that the games will continue whether he's involved or not.)

I don't want to see Kojima leave Konami, but if it happens then it happens.

NGL, I've seen some cool projects with Guillermo's name attached and...yea, most of them didn't happen. (Wasn't he attached to the Halo movie at one point?)
