I agree on tags in general, more is better because it makes individual blogs and the site more organized, but ultimately as long as you're covering your basic common triggers, then it's any given person's decision how to run their blog.

I follow a couple people who tag nothing. Not a big fan of that because it makes it impossible to search their posts, but I still like their posts enough to go along with it. That isn't going to be the case for some people, and that's okay.
