Kill la Kill might have been? Not sure about being on the same level as Attack on Titan (in terms of popularity), but it was def reasonably popular and I've heard my fair share about it. (Though I still don't know what it is, lol.)

Samurai Flamenco was a smaller anime and I don't think it ever blew up. (However we did have a secret or two about it, and I watched it because of those secrets. It was a lot of fun!)

*embarrassed* The only reason I mentioned those two was because my roommates tried to get me into it, which was I knew they existed, heh. Neither was my cup of tea at all, especially Kill La Kill. But sadly, anime seems to be kinda difficult for me to get into; wish it weren't.

That's okay! Anime isn't for everyone, just like video games, comics, etc. We can't all like the same things.
