I don't eat fast food and rarely eat junk food. I never drink soda with HFCS in it, and I don't like to order pizza or Chinese food.

I cook dinner almost every night.

This is apparently a fairly unusual way of eating these days, but it was what I grew up with.

Oh, also I don't really like chocolate unless it's really expensive dark chocolate.

And me, I don't like dark chocolate. Too bitter. I don't like bitter things in general. Although, British chocolate goes too far the other way and is too sweet for me. But in general I like milk or white chocolate but not dark.

I was under the impression that milk chocolate was more popular than dark chocolate? Is that not the case? I can't really keep up with food trends these days.

Anyway, yeah, I really like chocolate that is 60-80% cacao, but any higher gets a bit too bitter. I like being able to taste all the interesting floral and spice notes that high quality chocolate has.

I can be picky about chocolate. I loath Hershey's anything. I also tend to like my chocolate more with other things in it.

I used to be super addicted to chocolate in high school (self medicating my depression), but that seems to have died out. I like chocolate still, but I actually like other things better. Like caramel. Caramel is my favorite thing ever.

Aw man, for me the darker the better. Roomie gave us some 85% cacao chocolate as a gift for taking care of her cat, and it is AMAZING.

One day, I hope to experience the 99% percent bar! Preferably on my death bed, so I can die knowing I have experienced all the world has to offer.

See, you have to be really careful about the dark chocolate. I had some cheap stuff that was 90% cacao and it was like licking the underside of a shoe. But I have also had some ultra-expensive 96% cacao chocolate and it was like heavenly angles caressing my tastebuds with exotic spices, fruits, nuts, and the scent of orchids.

Oh yeah, I know that for sure. I don't have many fancy tastes, but I admit a weakness for absurdly expensive uber-dark chocolate. There's a lot of bad chocolate in the world; I'd rather save my money for the GOOOOOOOOD shit.

Milk chocolate is way more popular, but dark chocolate is trendy right now. Which is great for me. Dark chocolate is the only way to go.

I hate that milk chocolate is the go-to gift for people who are buying chocolate as presents. Whenever I get gifts from work I have to secretly foist them off on someone else.

...you just reminded me that I bought some dark chocolate from the store.

(also, I feel you a bit on that. my tastes in chocolate have narrowed over time. I have basically no interest in milk chocolate, and more and more dark chocolate is tasting too sugary - has to be higher quality and higher % cocoa for me to enjoy as much.)
