I can't! I'm living off savings until I can either get on disability (good fucking luck) or back to doing enough work to cover living expenses.

He owns the place and he doesn't really charge rent because we're (ex-step) family and we've lived in the same house for most of my life. I think he just hates living alone and I'm sort of like a very unobtrusive and low-maintenance substitute for a pet or a wife.

I don't really want to be a financial burden on people I actually like. I know that sounds bad. I guess stinky and I are sort of friends? We just don't really talk beyond combining our takeaway orders.

I have to admit your "very unobtrusive and low-maintenance substitute" line is quite funny.

Sounds like an...interesting arrangement. Could even be mutually beneficial if not for the grossness.
