Where is it implied they don't exist, because three women aren't into them? We are shown that girls can be into those things, because we're shown girls that are.

The ideal situation would be to see a variety of women scientists with a variety of differing looks, social skills, and interests.

Which we are. You can't show every interest though. Why not complain that none of the men have an art hobby? You're not going to see every hobby represented.
