My real real secret is that I think that FFXII would have been a better game if Vaan had died instead of Reks.

Much as I love Vaan, I'm almost inclined to agree with that. Rek was cute. And imagine if Vaan was more like a ghost who haunted Reks adorably and squee'ed like whoa about sky pirates while no one but Reks could see him. He'd be so wonderful ;_;

I like Vaan too, and now I want to see fanfic of dead!Vaan trailing Reks and squeeing about how they're on this big adventure and giving endless commentary on their companions (especially Balthier and Fran!), slowly driving Reks insane. XD

It would be both sad and... awesome.

I imagine how Reks wouldn't have the heart to tell Vaan to stfu, because dead little brother is dead :(

Vaan would pester Reks endlessly until Reks agreed to follow Balthier and Fran to their totally awesome space ship! XD

LOL, I thought when I first read it that you meant Vaan had mistaken the airship for a spaceship. Wouldn't make him a very good aspiring sky pirate, would it? XD

Ah, sorry, but my university's servers block youtube (it's a religious university, and they were concerned about scandalous material since they can't block it by url, so they banned the entire site...it sucks :( ).

I googled the guy though and yeah, he does look a bit like Vaan.
