2) I saw that, even though it took me to get to the last arc of the first season to do that. I really couldn't stand her before, now she's one of my favs. She's strong, really.

12) Humility is good and people should be actually be able to have a little more...
I must admit one of the things I seriously cannot stand are people so full of themselves without a reason at all. You're good and you start flattering yourself? Bad, but bearable.
You're bad and you start flattering yourself? Pathetic. People sould be objective :\

30) I don't get it. What's bad if the author took references of a Photo?
Now if I did that with someone else's art, that would be a different story...
All authors must document theirselves (not sure this is the right word) in order to do something, it's a fact. "Take a Photo, study the pose and try drawing it yourself" is actually a phrase from a Disney Accademi course I'm following. I cannot see this as a trace merely because the "traced" picture is a photo, I'm sorry.

On 30; It kind of looks like a trace, I mean, a non-trace would have a departure at some part in the picture, no? But the only difference is the ball :/

I'm not sure, I think there are a few lines (the one in the shirt and pants) that are off, though of course, most of it match.
Still I'm not sure wether to consider it something to hate the author or not, because it's a photo :\ I know it sounds hypocrite because I hate art theft and the likes, but I seriously don't know

Well, I don't think this is any reason to hate hate the author per se/boycott him or anything. I mean, it could be worse!

Good thing the OP didn't say anything like boycotting him or something... but yeah, less respect ._.

Good thing I was never a fan of the manga, so this doesn't make me too D: I think I'd be conflicted more if I adored the manga and found out about this now :/

I did adore it, it was one of my fav manga, actually (though I prefered I'll), maybe that's why I can't quite decide ;_;

YES; totally!
I heard it was because the author had an arguments with the publisher, but I'm not sure.
It was seriously WTF. Like, they beat the stronger team there but then OOPS! They're too tired to win the match after. End of story, kthxbye

Wasn't Slam Dunk serialized in Shounen Jump?

I think Shounen Jump likes forcing their mangaka to drag their arcs until the readers are so sick of the manga and they can no longer be milked for monies.

Yes, it was.
And I heard about that too, it's a little frustrating >_> Beside if a story was planned for, say, 100 chapters, forcing it to be 200 won't make it better

The sad state of manga. It's for that reason I'm kind of wary about following shounen manga, especially from Shounen Jump.

Gah, it's sadder when the manga gets affected by it muchly or something.

I became to avoid long series for that reason as well, or I start to drop them when they get way too many fillers for my tastes :\

Oh, Yes! Sorry, I picked up the wrong theme! I meant when there are all these chapters where nothing happens at all, and usually are auto-conclusive (not sure if this is the right english word ;_;). I can stand a few, but when there's no plot and just these kind of chaps, it gets frustrating!

Oh, it's still one of my favourite manga as well. It's just... not as favourite as it was when I first started reading it.

I'm definitely not boycotting him. XD;; In fact, reading the manga got me off my six-year break from basketball and I intend to play out for my college intramural team next year because of it. But yeah, it definitely made me stop enjoying the manga as much as I did when I first started reading it (though, I still enjoy it a lot more than other manga I've read).
