27. I dislike the fandom partially because they just can't let me enjoy Angel of Darkness in peace. Can't help it that it was my favourite of the series.

Really. Most people at TombRaiderHellhole...errrForums.com would say otherwise. There are some people there who *love* AOD and will strangle you if you even say the slightest crit.

That's not say I hate AOD, though. Glitches that render the game virtually unplayable in the early parts aside (it's not so bad once you get to Strahov), I think it had potential and is good on its own merits.

But I like where Crystal Dynamics has taken the series a little more.

That's a shock, all I've ever heard was bitching about AoD (I suppose I'm a bad fan for liking it because it almost entirely lacks the thing that makes Tomb Raider Tomb Raider, the jungle/temple excursions). But then, I've really alienated myself from the fandom years ago so maybe what the OP's written about everyone suddenly loving it applies. I dunno.

As for Crystal Dynamics, I'm afraid I have no comparisons to make since AoD is the last Tomb Raider I've been able to purchase. I really do want to play the new ones, though.
