What really amazes me is the ones who bash on female characters while LOVING (or not saying anything about) male characters who exhibit exactly the same traits. That's just... all kinds of special.

Also, people need to realize that for some characters? Some cliches exist, started existing, because uh... people like that exist. Some people are utterly sweet, some females are weak trying to be strong, and some women are strong and sorta bitchy but human. Lol stereotypes! But they're valid characters too.

I almost hate to bring up Tsubasa because of all the Special Wank in that fandom, but it's like Sakura-- for a while she was vapid and weak and didn't do anything, and then she was a heartless bitch-whore, and now she's just "useless" again, and it's ARGH FRUSTRATING. Get a GRIP people.
