I'm neither a slash fan or an MCU fan, but my friend who's a huge MCU fan complains so much about slash pairings "ruining" her fandom that I'm sick of her. I know her religion says homosexuality is a sin. I don't care! Her immature squealing about how nasty slash is and how she doesn't want to see it (who's forcing her??) makes me hope her son turns out to be gay. I will legit LOL so hard.

No, but really. You friend would bother me. I get that some people are religious, but I pretty much draw the line at hatefulness. If you're using religion to be intolerant, we're probably not going to be friends.

That being said, don't wish that on her kid. The poor lad would suffer if he was gay with a mom like that.

There's nothing wrong with being gay, but it's rather petty and cruel to wish that on him with the kind of mother he has.

Yeah, like I get being annoyed. Anti-slashers are pretty dang obnoxious and stupid.
But wishing your homophobic friend purposably has a child who's gay just to spite her is pretty...terrible. Like you do know that 40% of the homeless are lgbt kids right. They also have the highest sucide records for a reason. Homophobic parents don't automatically fall in love with their gay kids or quietly put up with them. That's not how the real world works.

I don't like people who use religion as an excuse for their bigotry but I'd never wish for their children to be gay for 'the lols', the poor kid could have an awful home life and no one deserves that.

Here's a better thing to hope for

Hope that there is a canon gay couple in the MCU, preferably involving major characters -- Steve/Bucky is probably most plausible given current canon, but any two of the main guys will work if you're in it for the schadenfreude.

It may be less likely, but you have at least as much control over it, and it won't potentially endanger a hapless kid.

I think Steve/Sam has a much higher possibility of occurring (pairing Steve with someone from the past seems contrary to the themes they're presenting with his story, but more so, it could give the impression he was cheating on Peggy to viewers which they wouldn't do), but it won't. Nothing with Steve or any of the other 'main' Avengers will.

Angie/Peggy might actually be our best hope, even though it's MCU tv canon. Hayley Atwell has spoken out vocally in favor of it multiple times. Plus since it is tv canon, they might be more willing to take 'risks'.

I'm queer and my parents are so homophobic I'm not sure I'll ever be able to come out to them (I'm legally an adult but I live at home at the moment, and I'm in a long-term LDR). Constantly stressing that my parents will find out about my girlfriend and throw me out and never speak to me again? Not fun. Really not. I know you think you're being funny, but I'm judging you hardcore for wishing this kind of scenario on anybody.

Just because your son has a friend who identifies as gay doesn't mean she won't love him, she might not be happy, but she'll still love him. The people who throw their kids out on the streets for it are sick and wrong.

That said--if it bothers you this much, why are you still friends? The irony here is I'm one of those religious people who dislikes slash, but rarely sees anyone like minded... * sighs *
