I'm seriously worried about how I'm going to learn this one class well enough to pass it. The teacher doesn't use a textbook, and the course website is really bare, so I'm trying to pick up everything from what he says and the indecipherable equations he writes on the board. This clearly must work well enough for most of his students to pass, but I just keep getting more and more confused.

Is there a friend in class or a TA (or even the professor himself) you can ask to help you make sense of this? Blow to the pride but might be good for the grade.

I just checked, and he actually does have TAs! I never see them in class for some reason, but they have office hours. I'll swing by tomorrow and see if they have any advice.
