This is why I hate "ableism" as a concept, because it makes people think they have the right to talk over me about my own disability or that I need to be treated like I'm some sort of fragile butterfly.

No, fuck that. I can defend myself, thank you, and all I want from anyone is to be treated the same way you would treat anyone else. My disability is not a positive thing. It is not something that makes me unique or special or anything else, nor is it something to be celebrated. It's just something that exists as a part of me, that's all.
