Re: Good news!

I just had a blood sugar reading of 86, a few hours after eating chicken strips, tator tots and half a texas toast slice and about 20 minutes after a 20 minute walk.

SO HAPPY to see a number that low, especially since my last A1C had jumped up to a 7 (only half a point and during six months of hell, but still), and I got put on a low-dose drug (metformin, once a day, for those in the know).

Also, once I sync up my fitbit, I'll have my first badge. It'll be for flights of stairs in a day, though yesterday I tried like mad to go the extra 1,500 steps in about 20 minutes before midnight to hit the 5,000 mark needed for a badge. Ended up being 200 short. And I guess if I ever want to hit the 10,000 mark that apparently people are supposed to get -- without spending my whole day walking -- I'll have to start doing a little bit of jogging. But that's a less happy thought, and this a happy thread! So...86!
